So I was up in Boise going to the play Wicked with my mom and aunts and cousins. Mike was home with the kids and was supposed to take Thursday and Friday off of work but had to run to work Thursday to do a presentation and then Friday morning he had to do the presentation again at the Young Living warehouse in Spanish Fork. He told the rest of the executive team that he had his kids and no babysitter and so if they wanted him to give the presentation he had to take his kids. They said that would be just fine. . .that the kids can sit there while Mike gave his presentation.
Of course Cody didn't cooperate and do as he was expected to. Surprise, surprise! So Mike had to hold Cody the whole time. Cody was making faces the whole time to the audience. His fish faces and fake smile and his pouty lips. Then he started making hissing tiger noises while Mike was trying to speak. Mike started to hear chuckling from the audience and he looks over at Cody and Cody has picked his nose and has a HUGE booger on the end of his finger and is playing with it. Mike then told me that literally 3 minutes before Mike was going to finish his presentation he hears a toot and Cody starts to grunt and get all red faced and watery eyes as he poops his pants in front of everyone. Kenzie said it was really funny but daddy didn't think it was funny. When I heard the story I laughed to the point where I could hardly breathe! Ha ha. Perfect timing on Cody's part. Too funny!

Cody
So Cody's new thing is to say things are cute. He will go up to, say Kenzie's doggy, and say "oh toook" but it is more like ta-ook-ah" it kills me! Like today he came over to me with a book about elephants and he says "oh, toook, bee-ya" (be-yah is elephant. . .you know, the sound they make. Ha ha!) And he is big into talking about his seat. . .where he is going to sit, where Kenzie should sit, that she needs to sit. But everytime he says "sit" or "seat" it comes out "sheet" Still makes me giggle. He will say "I sheet" and I will say back "yes son, you sheet. We all sheet. Sheet happens." Ha ha, I kill myself! I also have to throw in there that when we ask him what a shark says he says "da na, da na" The theme to jaws. Ha ha!

A day of doctors
Today was quite the day. Kenzie and Cody both had doctor's appointments this morning. Cody needed to be seen because he had had so many ear infections that Dr. Paxton wanted to see what his ears were like in between infections. . .to see if there was any fluid in them. Then Kenzie was getting her 5 year check up and (dun dun dun) her shots for kindergarten. The dr. appointment was at 10:40 am and she had started crying around 9:30. She was terrified and did not want to go. Cody's ears did check out just fine which was nice. Knock on wood we don't have to have tubes because I don't want to pay the money quite frankly. Kenzie checked out great but screamed BLOODY MURDER during the shots. I lost a little more of my hearing during that ordeal. Yikes. But she did it and now she is set and ready for kindergarten. Darn all this waiting through the summer business. She was ready to go today! She does have kindergarten registration next week so that will get us a little closer to going to school. So the movie Tangled came out on Tuesday and everywhere has been completely sold out. I called Walmart this morning and they said they had just gotten a new shipment in and they had plenty. That was at 7:45 am. I called back at around 10:45 because I thought it would be nice for after Kenzie got her shots we could go pick that up. Walmart was completely sold out. I couldn't believe it! So then I called the Walmart in Payson and they had 40 left and she wouldn't hold it because they were going so fast. When I got there 45 minutes later they had 3 left. So I had to drive to Payson but the McLeans are the proud owners of Tangled. Good grief that was a lot of work. So Mike gave me my birthday present early on Tuesday night. He just can't keep a secret with stuff like that. He gave me an ipad. I was excited and scared all wrapped into one. I have been having fun trying to figure it out and get all the apps I want. That thing is amazing. The girls are having a blast just playing the games! There is a game called Angry birds where you sling shot birds to save other birds and then they poof into a ball of feathers. Too funny! So then after school Addie had her dermatologist appointment to look at her warts. . .yet again. I am getting tired of dragging myself to that darn dermatologist. Two of the three are gone but we still have the one and then another little one popped up. Awesome. So we are trying to do this allergic reaction thing to make them go away. Knock on wood that starts working. I am getting tired of making expensive co-pays!

Spring Soccer strikes again.
So Addie's spring soccer season began again. This spring has been so cold that we are all a little worried as to how miserable this season, like the past seasons will be. It was so bad they had to cancel practice last Saturday because of the snow on the ground. Ah, good times. She got put on a soccer team with another elementary school. It is actually really sad. All her other little friends are on the same team. ..the girls she has now been playing with for years. . .and they are all on the same team and then she and two other girls from Canyon got put on the team from Spanish Oaks. She was pretty broken hearted. People told me I could probably request for her to get put on the Canyon team but what does that teach her? When things aren't exactly what you want them to be like you make a stink and make it better? Or do you suck it up and stick it out? So I opted to have us all stick it out. So we are on this team where we don't know anyone and we get to the game last night and it seems we have taken a step back in our playing ability. Not Addie. . .just the team in general. The coach isn't separating them at all. . .no defenders, forwards, middles. ..nothing. Just a big herd again. It was so frustrating. For Addie too. They lost yesterday 0 - 4. Ugh! She was pretty discouraged. I was discouraged. Mike was discouraged. I am just not looking forward to another cold, losing season. So is it better to be the best on a losing team? Or the worst on a winning team? Addie is definitely the best on a losing team so I will see at the end of the season. One funny note is that Mike and I were on the sidelines and our team was not doing great and Mike said "And what is this little girl doing? She is just standing there." and he says this right as the coach is walking by and the coach says "It's the coaches daughter." He didn't say it mad or anything, but I am sure that wasn't exactly what he wanted to hear. In Mike's defense though, the coaches daughter was picking grass in the field. For a couple of minutes she went and sat in a camp chair on the sidelines and there were no subs. . .so our team was just without a player while she took a break. Yup, it's gonna be a long season. Now my work is cut out for me to keep Addie motivated and positive about soccer.

Kenzie's Birthday
We woke up and I asked her what she wanted. I named boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and she stopped me. She wanted scrambled eggs. So I go out and cook them and when I go to serve them to her she looks at it and says "uh I meant boiled.' So 12 eggs later I had fed all the kids and Mike. Then Sarah and Leah came over and we went to workout. . .where we were late to. I am just not used to four kids and being in charge. It was crazy. Kenzie got to take ring pops and party hats for all the kids there. We got home, fed the kids lunch, got leah off to school, got the babies down for naps and Kenzie and I frosted her cake. she picked the color for her frosting and she picked the colors for her flowers (marshmallow flowers) and where to put them. I tried to input my two cents and she said to me "Uh, this is my cake and you are supposed to help me with MY design. Oh sorry! Happy Birthday to her and her attitude! :) Funny monkey. She had chosen to go to Olive Garden for her birthday. . .I mean we have all been hearing about that for months about how she was going to Olive Garden for her birthday. She wanted to get her hair curled before going to dinner. . .the wavy curling iron. So we head back to the bathroom and first curl into it and I burn her ear. I really got it too. She is bawling these huge crocodile tears are rolling down her face. I just kept saying how sorry I was and I felt so bad. Through her tears she says to me "It's ok. I know that you didn't mean to do it and it was an accident. I'm not blaming you." Ugh. . .how rotten did I feel. Mother of the Year! She survived and we went to dinner where we met Papa and Uncle Matt (who Mike had totally guilt tripped into canceling his plans and coming to his nieces party). We had a fun time after which we came home for cake, ice cream, and presents. Kenzie got a two wheel scooter, three whimsey pets (the dumbest little creatures that are the hugest hits. It was all she wanted for her birthday. They were $2 a piece) some clothes and a wall hanging from Nana, a cute black sweater from Grandma Marianne, and two wii games. .Toy Story 3 and Just Dance. I have to tell you we played the just dance game and it was a lot of fun. Mike even got into it. We were all laughing pretty hard. She just kept saying it was the best birthday ever. . .which is good considering the blister on her ear!
